Cleanliness and horticulture in higher universities

This year when the whole nation has entered into the second phase of the Swaach Bharat Abhiyan and has taken a huge step towards the target of green India , …….. College Of
Management and Technology, organised cleanliness and horticulture drive under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan .
The main purpose of this program was to create awareness among the students regarding cleanliness and environmental greenery and it’s benefit’s .Under this programme all the students participated ,even teachers were the essential part of this drive ,the students and the staff had to clean the whole university campus . The sweepers of the schools had to be the observers .
On this day…….. College Of Management and Technology pledged to promote sustainable ,safe water supply facilities, hand washing facilities ,sanitation facilities and promote horticulture in the school campus.
…CMT is working progressively on:

1. Fully integrated life skills education inclined towards greenery of the ecosystem ,focusing on key
hygiene behaviours for university students and using participatory teaching techniques.

2. Outreach to poor families and the wider community to spread awareness about the importance
of cleanliness and the greener ecosystem.

3. The university effectively and efficiently implemented WASH in school programme that will lead
the students to:
Perform better in their work
Positively influence hygiene practices in their home , among family members and in the wider community .
Learn to observe , communicate, cooperate ,listen and carry out decisions about hygienic conditions and practices for themselves in their social arena.

As well said by our Prime Minister “Sanitation should not be seen as a political tool , but should be
only connected to patriotism and commitment to public health” .Keeping this view point in mind
the …CMT management took oath to not only align cleanliness and greenery with the sweepers but
also make it a part of their life.

The university introduced two aspects of Cleanliness and green environment i.e prevention and hygiene .
Maintaining cleanliness does not necessarily means keeping oneself clean. It includes one’s house , neighbourhood, city or keeping one’s surroundings clean. In this way cleanliness and horticulture promotion is more cultural and social impact on society as a who What the time demands is to be mindful towards our habit’s .We should stop other’s from throwing waste at undesignated places and causing harm to the natural ecosystem.

It is the cumulative effort of all of us which can help us to build a Clean & Green India someday.
